<Bane of the Fallen King>

We killed The Lich King on hard mode in 10-man Icecrown Citadel. Brilliant job everyone who were on the kill and a big thanks to all those who participated on the many learning nights of the fight.

Our unorthodox group (4 druids) raided entirely voluntary on the days we didn't have 25m raids. This inevitably resulted in us not using all our attempts each week.

About the fight itself, while it does feel like an epic encounter the whole mechanic maybe is to unforgiving. The way the phases are set up, with the hardest part being 10 minutes into the fight, gets quite exasperating.

Two oozes, one room! 11/12

Professor Putricide, our last heroic end wing boss on the HM to-do list went down.
It was a rather quick kill of 6mins40secs. Great soaking/sucking/kiting/healing/dpsing/tanking everyone.

Our final and certainly biggest challenge in Icecrown Citadel awaits now. Lich King heroic promises to be an intense and epic battle. But don't expect a news update on that tomorrow!

Glory and all that...

While we don't generally focus on achievements a group of our raiders got their Reins of the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher mounts from completing Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10 man). Congrats, guys!

In other news we got 9/12 heroic modes down for a while now, working on the last 2 challenges before heroic 25 Lich King. We are hoping to see a kill on those soon now that the 10% icecrown citadel buff is active.

Lastly, we are recruiting at least 1 warlock and 1 combat rogue so head over to our apply sticky if you are interested.

Hard Modes Active

Well after our 10mans doing so well at the start of the week and unlocking their hard modes, it was the turn of the 25man to do the same.

With a very quick clear of the first 9 bosses, we came back to ICC on Sunday for the last 3, Dreamwalker and Sindragosa were no problem both 1 shots, then The Lich King was ready for us.

After learning a lot from 10mans, Phase 1 was no real problem, and quickly this phase was in the bag, but Phase 2 was a real challenge, after a fair wipes we had the idea, but due to people having to go early we called it a night.

Monday, after changing a few things in Phase 2, we needed some time to adjust, and in normal Ooth style, we progressed then went backwards, this yo-yo'd all night, with some real crappy lag again costing us 5 tries, but close to the end of raid time we had fairly good progression, then all of a sudden 14% both tanks down, Klopper comes to the rescue with the pala bubble and taunt...

Gratz To ALL OOth members, shame it wasn't the server first 25man, MMM pipped us by about an hour and a half. So gratz to them, the race is on for hard modes.

Quick Update

10 Man Update

Well again after loosing time from last week in our raiding schedule, we went into tonight ready for more lag, but other than some small lag spikes it seemed pretty stable, with 3 group's going the race was on too the The Lich king. After 3 hours he was slain. So in all a good night for Order of the Hammer, And i know for some this wont mean much, but seems this was the server first kill 10man Normal.

I would like to add that there was a group here in ooth that were very close to killing it, and sadly they just ran out of time before they could. You guys know who you are, and without your hard work and input into the fight discussion this probably would not have been as smooth.

25 Man Update

After some wasted time last week due to the insane lag on Cyclone servers, we just had time to go in a kill Sindragosa, a tricky fight to say the least, Still its down and we played with the The Lich King for a little while after.
